The Orion Nebula (M42)

Orion Nebula (M42).
My first zoomed in picture of the Orion Nebula using my unmodified a6700 paired with a 70-350mm lens. Shot with a tripod, about 16 minutes of exposure using 0.5s shots.

The running man nebula is visible on top as well.

Below is more information about specific aspects of the picture.

Orion Nebula Picture
The purple hue in the Orion Nebula mainly comes from ionized hydrogen gas emitting red light that mixes with blue reflection light from nearby hot stars, producing a magenta/purplish appearance in images.
The Running Man Nebula
The hot core of the Orion Nebula is a turbulent stellar nursery, where a tight cluster of massive, young Trapezium stars floods the surrounding gas and dust with intense ultraviolet radiation, carving out a glowing 10,000‑kelvin cavity of ionized plasma at the nebula’s heart.
